App is easy to navigate and an essential tool to plan or just to dream! Highly recommend. Would be nice if you could organize different favourite lists according to destination and if you could have a comparison chart. Otherwise, love it.
I love HomeAway on my iPhone but I am frustrated by two little things:
-1- Id like to be able to create "favorites folders" on my iPhone.
-2- Id like to see messages more clearly linked to properties and that all messages about a property are kept together in one dialogue stream. Sometimes I talk to ten owners at once in an area and I need to be able to organize my inquiry/responses. The photo of the property should be a link to the property so that I can see who is responding to my inquiry. The property ID should always be visible in the message response.

Some bad moments
We Rent this villa for 10 days in october 2016 but because of a cancer newly appeared we had to cancel more than 2 months before arrival....The owner wrote to us she Will refund the account but she didnt...although we asked her many times without answer ....and the house was rerent...
Be careful with this owner Ana Yaiza Santos Cabrera ....she is quite dishonest....

I used this app for the email service between me and the owner of the apartments. During the time of using this app Ive got a good overview for pros and cons. The updating time is very good. If I am sending a request on the computer a few seconds later Ive got the messaging context on the app. I miss the option to change my personal picture for my account on the app. I dont like that there is no function to delete old messages in the inbox of the app. Thats important but not usable! Under my trips there are objects I cant delete too. This should be fixed for 5 stars! Hope for a update soon! Nico
This app not only tells you cottages are available when theyre not, but also when you put a booking inquiry for a cottage that isnt even available the also put a hold on that money. They say they will release your funds in 24 hours but they dont actually! It takes almost a week. I now have close to $1k on hold for 5 days because I tried to book two cottages that were both not even available. I not am unable to actually put down a deposit for a cottage that I can actually stay at because they wont release my funds. This app is infuriating. When you call their customer service (which they say is 24/h on their app) you get a person who is just an answering machine and cannot actually do anything about your problem. I will never use this app again. Two failed experience and 1k in the hole later, my vacation is ruined. Thanks Homeaway.
The service at Homeaway is the WORST experience ever. If you have a problem with the house you rented dont count on their call service center. If you are looking for safe places to book your next vacation, look on AirBnb, Tripadvisor or Expedia.
I used the HomeAway app to book a vacation property, however my booking information and contact information was hacked by a malicious third party. We sent $2250 USD but when we followed up on the booking the property manager appeared to change and there was no booking. Not sure exactly where the security breach occurred but we are still out $2250.
I have a booking, which I can see. The email that suggested I download the app said "The app includes important information for you to have the best experience in Tyne Valley:

WRONG!! There is zero information on anything related to the area were going or anywhere else. Only searching for rentals like on the site.
